Welcome to my website.

My name is Jim Handley, and I am a BACP accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist based in Lymington, Hampshire.

I am passionate about helping people to deal with the pressures and problems that affect all areas of their lives, including difficulties in relationships, depression, self esteem issues, sexual problems, parenting, anger and conflict.

Counselling and Psychotherapy provide us with the tools to deal with life in a more satisfying way. They are powerful and effective in enabling us to make changes in our lives, and to benefit from those changes. In particular you may feel empowered; this means stronger, braver, more defined and clearer about what you want in your life and how to bring it about.

Through my South Coast Practice, I offer short and long term counselling, psychotherapy, and formative psychology, on a basis that suits you and the areas that you would like to work on. I work with individuals, couples, and groups in Lymington, the New Forest area, Hampshire and East Dorset. I also run an ongoing men’s therapy group in Southampton.

My practice is based in Lymington, Hampshire at the edge of the New Forest between Southampton and Bournemouth. It is within easy reach of Southampton and Bournemouth,as well as Salisbury, Winchester, Basingstoke, Ringwood, Christchurch and East Dorset. I also have a practice in London which is based at Spectrum, the centre for Humanistic Psychology.

I provide a supportive environment with complete confidentiality, and adhere to the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapist’s code of ethics.
