My Personal Approach
I believe that Psychotherapy helps us to feel more in control of our lives. The foundation of my work is humanistic and my approach is to work with each person as an individual and to support them in making positive changes in their lives.
I have undergone one of the most rigorous and challenging training programmes in Britain, and have been taught by some of the most experienced therapists in Europe and the US. I am highly committed to my own personal and professional development.
I am a graduate of the Spectrum Centre for Humanistic Psychology in London and in addition hold the following qualifications:
UKRC registered Counsellor and Psychotherapist.
One Year and Post Graduate course in Humanistic Psychotherapy (Spectrum London).
Oxford Cambridge and RSA Certicate in Counselling Skills.
Two Year Working with Couples Training.
Training in PAIRS - Practical Application of Intimate Relationship Skills
Three year training in Working with Anger and Anger Management.
I am an accredited Psychotherapist with the BACP and adhere to their code of ethics.
I have been involved with Psychotherapy since 1995 and have run a private practice for the past 20 years, working with individuals, couples and groups. I have provided Psychotherapy services for a number of Government and National organisations.
I have also run the Men's Basic Sexuality group and Working with Anger groups at Spectrum.
Before becoming a Psychotherapist I worked in industry. I am a keen surfer and sailor. I am married with three children.
